Lieutenant Daniel and Sarah ___) Boardman were the parents of Olive Boardman. The Ashley Genealogy, History of the Descendants of Robert Ashley of Springfield, Massachusetts by Francis Bacon Trowbridge, page 118. He was born in Litchfield, CT in 1727, the son of Joshua Boardman and Sarah Stockwell.

Daniel Boardman was surveyor of highways in Sheffield. He was a first lieutenant in the Berkshire Militia, West Company, John Spoor, Captain. Mass. Archives Vol. 23, p. 253.

Daniel married Sarah___ about 1750. They had seven children: Olive who married Daniel Ashley; Daniel who probably married Electa ____; Hannah; Hulda who married Abijah Peck; Joshua who supposedly died young; Sarah and Rosanna who married Benjamin Cowles. Vital Records of Sheffield, MA.

Daniel died March 5, 1777 and is buried in the Barnard Cemetery in Sheffield, MA.
