Brother of Frank, Guy and Jim Cartmell, He was also preceded in death by 7 brothers and 6 sisters. Grandfather of 20 and Great-grandfather of 4. A grandson, David also preceded him in death.
The celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services in the Latham Cemetery. A family visitation will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Kirby-Morris Funeral Home.

Earl Cartmell, Sr. 66 of El Dorado died Monday April 25, 2010. The Celebration of his life will be held 10 a.m. Monday at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services in the Latham Cemetery.
Earl was born December 23, 1944 in Latham the son of Curtis and Retha Rouse Cartmell. He grew up in Latham and El Dorado. He worked as a heavy equipment operator. He loved to hunt and fish.

Serviving family includes son Coy Cartmell Towanda, Vincent Cartmell of Augusta, Rome Cartmell, El Dorado; daughters Carmilita Cartmell, Conway, Arkansas Jolene Keating, El Dorado, Racheal Folks of Wichita; Brothers Frank of El Dorado, Gary and Jim both of Calfornia; 20 grandchildern and 4 great grandchildern. Stepchildren Penny Derringer, Nancy Arnett, John Ryan, Rose Messerschmidt, Vincent Ryan, Candy Silbaugh. He was preceded in death by Seven brothers, Six sisters and a grandson David.
