Willis Vaden Harris, 66, of 1218 Justin, Dallas, Texas, died at 5:55 PM Friday in the great S.W. General Hospital, Grand Prairie, Texas. Mr. Harris was born July 20, 1908, in Oklahoma. He lived in and near Ennis until 1943. April 12, 1943, he was married to Miss Hazel Bates of Ennis. Mr. Harris and family had lived in San Diego, California, and Dallas County moving back to Grand Prairie in 1950. He was retired from the Methodist Hospital in Dallas and a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include his wife Hazel of Dallas: one daughter, Ms. Clifford H. Gambaro of Irving, one brother Elmer Harris of Ennis: two sisters Mrs. Emily Gordon, Fort Worth, Mrs. Estelle Cassie, Chula Vista, California, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 PM Sunday in the Bunch Funeral Chapel with Reverend Richard Marcentel of Irvine officiating. Interment will be in the Bristol cemetery.
