MIDDLESBORO, Kentucky
Juanita Byrge Farmer went to be with her Lord on Monday, April 25, 2011 at the young age of 92, at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital.
She was born January 21, 1919 in Bosworth, KY to the late Jasper and Donny Ferguson Byrge. She was faithful to her Lord and a long- time member of the Winchester Ave. Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Roy Farmer;
Her Sons: Ray Gene Farmer and Phillip Jackie Farmer;
Sisters: Hope Minton/Foster Minton, Imogene Cook, and Mary Helen Byrge; and Brother: Neal Byrge.
Survivors include: children: Delores Shearsmith, Spartanburg, SC; Jerry (Deanie) Farmer, Dayton, OH; Dale Farmer, Dayton, OH; Brenda Brandenburg, Middlesboro; Sharon (David) Russell, Dallas, GA; Anita Farmer, Middlesboro; daughters-in-law: Miskel Farmer, Speedwell, TN; Zookie Farmer, Middlesboro; brother-in-law: Hatler Cook, Harrogate, TN; 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and ten great great-grandchildren; special friends: Anita Ditty, Dr. C.A. Moore, Rhonda White, and Tammy Mozingo.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Creech Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Chad Hensley and Rev. Lawrence Durham presiding. Music will be by Frances Gambrel, Marvin Gulley, Rhonda White, Karen Farmer, and the Winchester Ave. Church of God choir. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be: Dr. C.A. Moore, Dr. Vora, Delbert Carpenter, and the Middlesboro EMS.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens.
