Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, April 29, 2011, at Rose Neath Southside, Shreveport, LA.
Mr. Colvin was born March 16, 1935, in Dubach, LA, and passed away on April 27, 2011, at his home. He served in the United States Marines from 1953-1957. He served 34 years with the USDA Soil & Water Conservation Service. Mr. Colvin was a follower of Christ and served as a deacon since he was 25 years old. He taught Sunday School, Evangelism Explosion and sang in the church choir.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gay Denham Colvin; children, Mona Cockerham, and her husband Ray; Perri Campbell, and her husband Patrick; grandchildren: Kyle, Ethan & Emma Cockerham, Cameron & Colin Campbell; siblings Billie Jane Deselle, Louise Pearson; nieces, nephews and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Summer Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.
