KENYON Phillip, D.O., 56, of Manhattan, KS, died Monday, April 17, 2000 in Topeka, KS of an aneurysm. Born March 27, 1944, he was a former resident of Tulsa and Muskogee. Kenyon was preceded in death by his father, Grant Kenyon 1971) and his mother, Belle Kenyon Williams (1999). Kenyon served in the Air Force, later graduating from OSU with a Bachelor of Science degree. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Kansas City University of Health Sciences in 1981, practicing emergency medicine in 3 cities before establishing the Hylton Square Urgent Care Clinic in Manhattan, KS, in 1998. Memberships included the American College of Emergency Physicians, Kansas Medical Society, the American Legion and the Manhattan, KS Chamber of Commerce. Kenyon is survived by: his wife, Janie of the home; son, Alexander and daughter, Sarah, both of the home; sister, Leigh Anderssen of Tulsa; and mother-in-law, Flora McPhail of Tulsa. Service was held at the First United Methodist Church in Manhattan, KS on Thursday. The body will lie in state at Moore's Southlawn in Tulsa on Friday with graveside service at 11 a.m., Saturday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a memorial fund for Alexander Kenyon and Sarah Kenyon's education through the Tulsa Bank of Oklahoma.
