Jean Lofgreen, 83 passed away peacefully April 27, 2011 surrounded by her loving family at Baldwin Health Care Center from the affects of a stroke suffered April 2010
Graveside services will be Monday May 2 at 11 am at Highland Cemetery with Rev. Joel Fredrickson officiating
She was born Aug 29, 1927 in Kansas City Mo to Thomas and Lois Meyers. She graduated High School in Herington and spent most of her life in Ottawa.
She was a homemaker and spent more than 30 years as a doctor's receptionist
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ottawa. She enjoyed RV trips with friends especially to Branson MO.
She married William J. Lay Sept 1, 1946 in Hope. He preceded her in death Sept 30, 1976 as did their infant daughter Barbara J Lay, Aug 61960. She married Dr Victor J. Lofgreen Dec 21, 1979 he preceded her in death June 14, 1982.
She was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son Terry L. Lay and wife Sandra granddaughter Emily J Hillman and husband Benjamin and great grandchild Oliver Hillman
Family and friends are meeting at the cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 pm Sunday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home
