Irene Ethel Bahr, 88, passed away on March 29, 2011. Irene was born December 26, 1922 near Red Oak, Oklahoma to Robert Derb and Ethel Jane (George) Prock. Irene graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and taught elementary school in California for many years. Irene eventually would move with her husband to Midwest City where she would be closer to her sister, Imogene. Irene enjoyed gardening and reading, especially reading her Bible.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Bahr, brothers, Lester, Jack, Bill, Frank, Brutus, and Floyd Prock; and sister, Mildred Prock. Survivors include her sister, Imogene Sardis, brother Jim Prock; step-daughter, Winnie Carter (Earl); step-grandchildren, Gary Carter (Patricia), Deanna Geer (Dean), Bruce Carter (Sara), and Terry Carter (Kim); and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
