North Grosvenordale - Norman P. Langevin, 67, of 13 Valley View Drive, died Thursday
at Day Kimball Hospital after an illness. He leaves his wife, Rita (Krolik) Langevin, whom
he married June 28, 1947. He also leaves a son, Bruce Langevin of
Granby, Conn.; a brother, Leodore Langevin of Stafford Springs, Conn.; a sister,
Gertrude Watson of Bristol, Conn.; a grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Before
illness forced him to retire in 1982, he worked as a lens grinder at the American Optical
Co., Southbridge for many years. Mr. Langevin was a World War II Army Air Corps
veteran and was a member of the Oscar W. Swanson Post 67, American Legion,Grosvenordale. He was also a member of St. Joseph's Church. He was born in Southbridge, a son of Benoni and Octavie (Davignon) Langevin and had lived in Thompson for many years. The funeral will be Monday at 10:15 a.m. from the Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main Street, North Grosvenordale with a mass at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 18 Main Street, North Grosvenordale. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
