Moved from Moroa Macon co. Ill. to Red Oak, Iowa with my parents - Feb 1876 who farmed that yr then moved to cousel bluffs iowa -jan 1877 then started to school -1878 then followed bussiness contracting and grading streets for about 7 yrs

heard the elders preach the gospel and was baptized, went to L.D.S church and sunday school at Huntington Hall 104 Broadway, Counsel Bluffs, Iowa

Came to Salt Lake City Utah in 1895 on a R.R.Pass with Bro.O.P.Hatch, stayed with R.K.Thomas for 2 weeks until Grandpa Issac Hardy came from a trip from Provo, I then made my home with him in El Dorado UT.Hunter Ward until I came to Ogden UT. the fall of 1896, then I met Clara Hayes the following spring
