Funeral services for Mr. Ervin James Bergeaux, 77, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jennings, with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating.
Interment will be in St. Jules Cemetery in Tee-Mamou under the direction of Matthews ad Son Funeral Home of Jennings.
Visitation will be held from 2:30-9 p.m. today, Sunday, and from 8 a.m. until time of services on Monday.
A rosary, led by Mrs. Annarie Dennis, will be recited at 6 p.m. today.
Mr. Bergeaux died at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2008 at Extended Care Of Southwest Louisiana.
Mr. Bergeaux was the son of Adrien and Effie Doucet Bergeaux.
He was a retired oil field worker after 44 years with Falcon Seaboard, Cactus International and Supreme Contractors.
He enjoyed LSU football, camping, hunting and doting over his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his dog, Beau.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Gertis Miller Bergeaux of Jennings; one daughter, Roxane Ardoin and her husband, Tim, of Tee-Mamou; one son, Wayne Bergeaux and his wife, Pam, of Jennings; two sisters, Margie Cormier and Ruth Crochet, both of Jennings; three brothers, Vernon Bergeaux of Littlestown, Pa., Rodney Bergeaux of Basile and Murray Dean Bergeaux of Hathaway; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Harvey Dayle Bergeaux; four sisters, Vinice Miller, Hannah Miller, Mildred Fontenot and Ethel Ardoin; and three brothers, Richard, Julius and Terry Bergeaux.
