Moses Spurr Died June 3, 1846 in the 66th year of his age.
"Mr. and Mrs. Spurr's deaths were occasioned from the wounds they received in the town of Salisbury, Conn. They left home the morning of the 20th of May, 1846 and on their return as they were decending the Frink hill their horse became frighten and unmanageable throwing them from their carriage and dashing them against the rocks that lay by the wayside. They were taken to the house of Mrs. Samuel Lee's where they received every attention but owing to the delicate state of his health previous to the accident and the severity of her wounds, they survived but a few days. Truly in the midst of life we are in death".
