Conway - Jack Oliver Grainger, of 344 King St., Charleston, died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday at a Charleston Hospital following an extended illness.
Funeral services will take place 10:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Goldfinch Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Princeville cemetery near Loris.
Mr. Grainger was born near Loris, a son of the late Harley and Betty Wilkins Grainger. He lived and farmed in Conway and Horry Country for many years and for the past 16 years had lived in Charleston.
He was associated in an insurance agency in Charleston. He as a veteran of World War I, having served with the U.S. Army.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Emmett M. (Gertrude) Graham of Conway; two nieces, Mrs. Hazel Bowden of Broadway N.C., and Mrs. Eugene Altman of Aynor; one nephew, Lacey Johnson of Washington, D.C.
