Death Of Grandma Amy
Mrs. Adeline Amy died Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Finley, at Oakland, Calif. The body will be brought here and the burial made at Strington cemetery, near the old Amy homestead in Douglas township, The burial will probably be on Saturday, but the hour can not be announced definitely at this time.

Obituary of Adeline Amy
Adeline Amy was born in Trumbull county, Ohio, March 21, 1826 and died at Oakland, California, Oct. 12, 1908, aged 82 years, 6 months and 21 days. She was married to Lambert Amy in 1844. To this union were born five children, four of whom with the husband survive her. One son, John B. Amy, preceded her to the better land. Funeral services were held at the West Star church October 19, 1908, Rev. J. E. Clearwater conducting the services. The remains were laid to rest in the Stringtown cemetery.

Mrs. Adeline Amy, one of the pioneers of Madison county, died Monday Oct. 12 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Geo. Finley, at Oakland, Calif. The remains arrived here Monday morning and the funeral was held from the West Star church. Interment was made in the Stringtown cemetery near the old Amy homestead.
