Deceased Name: Margaret A. Daigneault
BENNINGTON - Margaret A. Daigneault, 81, died Feb. 6, 2002, at Centers for
Living & Rehabilitation in Bennington.
She was born Feb. 27, 1920, in Bennington, the daughter of Francis and Rosalie
(Durand) O'Toole.
She graduated from the former Bennington High School in 1938.
She married Clayton Daigneault on Oct. 29, 1938, in Bennington.
Mrs. Daigneault had been employed at EZ Mills and the Bennington Banner, and was
the proprietor of the American Coffee Shop in Bennington. She retired from
Fairdale Farms.
She was a member of Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church and Court St.
Andrew, Catholic Daughters of America.
She enjoyed knitting and reading.
Survivors include her husband of Bennington; five sons, Gary Daigneault of
Bennington, Dennis Daigneault of Pittsfield, Mass., James Daigneault of
Westfield, Mass., Mark Daigneault of Phoenix, Ariz., and Alan Daigneault of
Stillwater, Kan.; two sisters, Anne Winslow and Patricia Adams, both of
Bennington; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews,
great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
The funeral service will be held Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at the Mahar & Son
Funeral Home in Bennington with a prayer and continue with a Mass at 9 a.m. in
All Faiths Chapel at the Vermont Veterans Home. Burial will take place in Park
Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The wake service
will be offered at 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Renovation Fund at Sacred Heart St.
Francis de Sales Church, through the office of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628
Main St., Bennington, 05201.
All members of Court St. Andrew, CD of A, are asked to meet today at 7:30 p.m.
at the funeral home to conduct their service.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home.
