James Sullivan Taylor is added to many online trees as the son of James Shell Taylor and Abigail Wiley Colby which is incorrect because “Professional Genealogists” overlooked the age of James Taylor on the 1850 census, therefore assuming that James S. Taylor living next door to James S. Taylor (1880 census) was the son of James Shell Taylor instead of being the Grandson. This matches the records from Aunt Alma’s records stating that James Sullivan Taylor’s parents were James F. Taylor and Martha J. Kelsey. My research indicates that Martha J. Kelsey Taylor died about 1871/2 and James F. Taylor remarried. After their mother’s and sister’s death James S. married Mary J Gorton and went to Colorado Springs. James Sullivan’s sister also married and moved away. The 1885 Colorado Census listed below shows James Sullivan’s sister, Abigail Lillian Taylor Drummond with her husband William living next door to him.

I'm trying to clarify the error with hopes that others will be correcting their trees; please and thank you.
