John W. Barthlow, 60, of 342 Reservoir avenue, died yesterday at Memorial Hospital.
Born in Frederick, he was a son of Mrs. Pearl (Burrall) Barthlow and the late Harry W. Barthlow.
He was a retired iron worker for the Hazelwood Construction Company. Educated at the Maryland School for the Deaf in Frederick, he was a member of Iron Workers Local 568.
Also surviving are his widow, Hazel J. (Speelman) Barthlow; a brother, Austin W. Hartsock, Frederick; two sisters, Miss Joanna Barthlow, and Mrs. Paul H. Biddinger, Frederick.
The body is at the Stein Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m.
A service will be conducted there Monday at 2 p.m. Rev. A.R. Major will officiate and interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
