Charles Bointon Ricard, 72, of Leesville passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010. He was born in Gilbert, a son of the late Bointon Ricard & Aloth Black Ricard. He was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church. He was an accountant who filled out tax returns for the public. He was a chorus director for a number of years and he played the organ in his younger days. He loved flowers, animals, sewing, and cooking.

Surviving are his brother, Samuel Ricard of Leesville; sisters, Mary Padgett of Ridge Spring, Onlee McGee, Marie Hodges, Luellen Foster, & Lynette Black, all of Leesville, & Janie McRae of West Columbia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Taylor, and brothers, Wilson Ricard & Brent Ricard.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 25, at the St. James Lutheran Church (Summit), with burial in the church graveyard; Revs. Norman Deal & Ruben Olawsky officiated.

Active pallbearers were Daniel McGee, Bryan Black, Anthony Ricard, David Ricard, Kenny Padgett, & Tommy Hodges. Honorary pallbearers were his nieces and nephews.

The family wold like to thank the staff at Tri-County Hospice Care and the Lexington Medical Center Extended Care.
