Sam was in the U.S. Navy Enlisting on Nov. 21, 1967 and
released May 5, 1970.

He died instantly in a single car crash while on his way to pick up family members to go to the annual Juneteenth Concert, which featured the band Alabama.

He leaves behind his wife Cathy (Andrews) Camp and two sons, James "Jimmy" and Steven Camp
