Daughter of Robert McCarley & Mary S. Andrews.
Crissey married
(1st) Henry D. Eakle (Nov. 18, 1850, in Red River Co., TX)
(2nd) William Griffith (Mar. 7, 1860, in Collin Co.).
Crissey and William divorced by 1880, when she was still living in Collin Co. with other family members and William was living in Hood Co., TX, with son Ferdinand ("Furdnand" in the census). No further record of William after 1880.
according to a suggestion from findagrave contributor Tjer #47830624 she had 5 children with William: James G; Mary; Ella; Wilson F and Edith.
The spelling of her name in contemporary records is as follows: Crissey (mostly, but sometimes Crissay and once as Crissa) in Henry D. Eakle's Collin Co. probate records, Crissay (1860 Collin Co. marriage record), Crissey (1860 census), Crissay (1870 census), Crissey (1880 census), and Crissie L. H. (1900 gravestone).
Son John Eakle's 1872 gravestone says "Son of H. D. & C. L. Eakle," and she is called "C. L. McCarley" (mis-transcribed as McCarty) in her 1850 marriage record to Henry D. Eakle.

"Blue Ridge Items.
We are very sorry to chronicle the sad death of Mrs. Griffie, which occurred last Wednesday after a short illness. Mrs. Griffie had many friends and was loved by all who knew her. She was 63 years of age. All friends sympathize with her relatives in their sad bereavement."
