Harry Edwin Brinkmeyer, 76, a resident of Cynthiana, Ky., died Saturday, September 6, 2008 at his residence.
He was born in Oak Park, Ill., April 22, 1932, to the late Dr. Harry E. and Maude Lewallen Brinkmeyer. He was a retired funeral director and embalmer and a Grede employee. He was an honorably dischanged Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include: his wife, Delilah "Dolly" Wheeler Brinkmeyer; two sons, Paul Brinkmeyer and Eric Brinkmeyer, both of Cynthiana; three daughters, Kay (David) Moss, Cynthiana, Lisa (Gary) Anspacher, Florida and Julia (Jeff) Tafel, Louisville; 10 grandchildren, Adam Brinkmeyer, Amos Brinkmeyer, Jason Brinkmeyer, Charlee Brinkmeyer, Samuel Tafel, Leandra Tafel, Erick Tafel, Joshua Moss, Breanna Moss and Joseph Moss.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Harrison Clay Lizer and Trevor Wallace.
Services were conducted Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, by the Rev. David Carper. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jack Keith, Dr. Jerry Harpel, Bruce Hampton, Bob Lancaster, Bill McDonald, John Mitchell, George Moser and Tom Shuff.
Hononary pallbearers were Dr. Frank McKemie, Charles C. McCarty, Jr., Joe Robert Barkley, Ralph Deitemeyer and Walter Tapp.
