EVELYN E. UPDIKE Evelyn Emily Updike, 79, Chanute, Kan., formerly of this area, died Jan. 27, 1991, at a hospital in Chanute. She was born in Lenexa and lived in Olathe before moving to Chanute 17 years ago. Mrs. Updike was a member of the First Christian Church of Olathe and the Olathe Home Demonstration Unit.
Her husband, Ralph E. Updike, died in 1990.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the First United Methodist Church of Chanute; burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Humboldt, Kan.
The family suggests contributions to the Neosho Memorial Hospital Auxiliary in Chanute.
