Mary Alice Gibbs, 78, of Huntington passed away December 4, 2005. She was a retired nurse from Cabell Huntington Hospital and a member of Trinity Church of God. She was noted in the Huntington area for her missions work. She created and sold Marshall memorabilia – wreaths, buffaloes, bears, Marcos, and more; all monies went to missions. She was the most kind, loving, and tender-hearted woman God has ever created. She never met a stranger and truly loved everyone.

Mary was preceded in death by her father Howard E. Blair, and her mother, Lillian Jordan Blair.

Mary is survived by
husband, Walter B. Gibbs, Sr.;
daughter Suzann Welch, and her husband Virgil of Athens, Georgia;
daughter Cathryn Harris, and her husband John of Charleston;
son Water "Sonny" Gibbs, Jr. and his wife Sharon, of Huntington.
grandchildren are Alex Gibbs and his wife Bridgette, Natalie Gibbs, Blair Harris, and Lee Welch;
great-grandchildren are Kirsten, Kaleb, and Colton Gibbs.
Visitation is Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at Chapman's Mortuary, 2851 Third Avenue Huntington.

The funeral was at Trinity Church of God in Huntington by Pastor Vondie L. Cook, Sr. of the Trinity Church of God & Pastor David Jones of the Bible Center Church. Burial in Ceredo Crescent Hill Cemetery.
