McGREGOR
Esilla Wright McGregor, of 440 Palmero, passed away Wednesday morning March 20, 1985 after a short illness.
Mrs. McGregor was the daughter of Milus P. Wright and Mary A. Bitterman Wright, pioneer Nueces County ranchers. She was born on the family ranch near Bluntzer, Texas. On April 21, 1919 she married Earl Leon McGregor and remained a resident of Corpus Christi for the rest of her life. Mr. McGregor preceded her in death in 1934.
For many years she was associated with the Nueces County Tax Assessors-Collectors Office and the Nueces County Sheriffs Department. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a past member of the Corpus Christi Grandmother's Club and the Business and Professional Women's Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Ruth Evelyn Miller of Orange Grove, and Mary Margaret McGregor of Bluntzer; two grandchildren, Fred E. Miller and Lynda Claire Hudson; and three great-grandchildren, Ryan Whitney Miller, Amy Elizabeth Miller and Virginia Fay Hudson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, March 22, 1985 at the Cage-Mills Downtown Chapel. Graveside services and burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
