Violet Kristina Brunelle, age 97, of Mesa, Arizona passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of September 25, 2021. She was born on March 4, 1924 in Gardner, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late John Edwin Sundin and Ellen E. Sundin.
Violet was preceded in death by her husband Raymond William Brunelle, her son Dennis Raymond Brunelle and her brother Clifford Sundin. She is survived by her two sisters, Margaret Nylund, Carole Purinton (Alan), brother Norman Sundin (Mitzi), grandchildren Darrin Brunelle (Patty), Tony Brunelle, Tina Violetta (Greg) and two great grandchildren, Brendan and Hanna Brunelle.
Violet was a beautician by trade for more than 50 years. She had her own business in her home in Massachusetts before she moved to Mesa, Arizona with her husband and son in 1955 where they built their home and made many friends. She worked at Earl's Beauty Salon in downtown Mesa, was a member of the Ocotillo Woman's Club and volunteered at Mesa Lutheran Hospital.
Violet loved spending time with her family and doting on her three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, October 15, 2021 at City of Mesa Cemetery and a Celebration of Life will follow at a different location.
