Florence Marie Evers, 95, Abilene, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006; born Nov. 16, 1911, in Elmo, the daughter of Roy and Margaret (Duddy) Jones; married Lon Evers on June 20, 1938; he preceded her in death in 1997; survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Wheeler of Olathe and Janice Selvia Evers of Salina; two sons, Richard Evers of St. Joseph, Mo., and Dan Evers of Osawatomie; eight grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and other relatives; preceded in death by one sister, Gertrude Fairley; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
