George Howard "Shorty" Synamon parents James Martin "Jim" Cinnamon/Synamon 1870 – 1942 and Lucinda "Lu" "Lula" Loport Buchanan 1874 – 1950 were living in rural Mooresburg when he was born. His siblings were: Henry Synamon 1894; Edward Synamon 1896; Lillian Synamon 1898; Greeley Synamon 1900; Mary Synamon 1903; William Synamon 1905; Analee Synamon 1910; Cecil Synamon 1912; Eunice Synamon 1915; Hugh Kyle Synamon 1917.

The 1920 census proved that Shorty had 3 boys near his age living near the farm where they lived. Cecil Vaughn was the son of John A. and Alice Vaughn; Jim Mooney was the step-son of Hicks and son of James C Hicks; and Guy Baker son of Joe K and Minnie Baker.

George Howard was 25 years old and Beulah only 14 when then married on March 2, 1944. The 1940 census revealed to me that his daughter Doris Ann was born in 1936. Another child was found in his wife's obituary on the Find A Grave memorial. It was a son, Melvin "Lynn" Synamon and his wife Audrey.

The Lord called to receive Shorty's spirit on Apr. 1, 1968. He was buried in Rogersville in the Highland Cemetery, where the family and friends bid him to Rest in Peace. (research and bio by Audrey DeCamp Hoffman)
