Justin Jamal Smoot, 18, of Summerville, SC, entered into eternal rest on May 2, 2011 during surgery at Trident Medical Center in N. Charleston, SC, after being shot to the neck and back.
Mr. Smoot was a student at Ashley Ridge High School where he was a member of the Class of 2011.
Mr. Smoot was the son of Karen Washington and Elizah Smoot; step-son of Paul D. Gaffney; brother of Elijah Smoot, Dennis B. Saxton, Desmond Smoot, Tanisha Powell, Donica Powell, LaShanta T. Smoot, Dion Smoot, Eliezer Smoot, Jeremiah Smoot, Saquian Smoot, and Tyvon Smoot; and grandson of Wilhemina Washington, Willie (Carolyn) Bailey, and James (the late Dora Mae) Smoot.
Cause of Death: Gunshot wounds to the neck & back which he received following an altercation with Anthony Willis, Jr.
