Michael James Baker, 75, a resident of Glen Burnie for 47 years and previously of Baltimore, died February 23 at his residence. He was born Jan. 15, 1936, in Baltimore, and served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960. He was employed with Westinghouse for 36 years. A member of the American Legion Post 40 and the Glen Burnie Moose Lodge, Mike enjoyed walking at the mall, spending time with his grandchildren, using his computer, games and puzzles, fishing and Harry Potter movies. He was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Carol M. Baker; three brothers, George, Leo and James Baker; and four sisters, Margaret, Gertrude, Regina and Eleanor Baker. He is survived by three children, Michael Baker Jr. of Baltimore, Raymond Baker of Crofton and Carol Strickland of Pasadena; seven grandchildren, John and Matthew Remick, Zachary, Michaela, Ethan and Keri Baker, and Alaina Tucker; great-granddaughter, Cheyenne Larracuente; and two sisters, Marie Mand of Glen Burnie and Rose Eary of Ferndale.
