Colfax, September 18—Word was received here last Thursday of the sudden death of Harvey R. Lowry, a former Colfax resident.
He was born on June 17, 1876, at Colfax. His early manhood was spent in this vicinity. He passed away about noon on Thursday at his lunchroom at 2534 Central Avenue, Minneapolis, death resulting from a heart attack, Mr. Lowry, was married to Miss Mayme Browne, August 5, 1900 and for the past twenty-seven years they have made their home in Minneapolis.
He worked for the Minneapolis and St. Louis railroad for thirty years, retiring a year ago and then opened up a restaurant. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Fireman and Enginemen. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Grace Renquist and Mrs. Vera Calborn and three grandchildren of Minneapolis, besides two sisters, Mrs. Frank W. Perry of Cedar Falls, Wisconsin and Mrs. Chas. Burling, Colfax. Four half-sisters, Mrs. W. A Frasal, Mrs. Chas Carey and Miss Lillian Lowry, Colfax and Mrs. Austin Carey, Wheeler.
The funeral services were held at the Billman mortuary at Minneapolis last Saturday afternoon, the Rev. Gordon Bailey of the Trinity Methodist Church preaching the sermon. Interment was made at Crystal Lake Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Relatives from here who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Chas Carey and daughter, Mrs. Ole Repaal, Miss Lillian Lowry, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Frasl, Mrs. And Mrs. Chas Burling, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Burling, Lawrence Burling and two sons. Also Mr. and Mrs. Austin Carey of Austin.
