Hazel was born October 31, 1940, in Truman, Ark., a daughter of the late Paul and Wanda Lee Richardson Hardaway. She was a member of Bethany Free Will Baptist Church and had worked at Wal Mart in Wadesboro for 17 years.
Surviving are her sons, Michael and Paul (Fonda) Hogan, both of Arkansas; her brother, Jerry (Gale) Hardaway of Athens, Ala.; her sister-in-law, Joyce Hardaway of Wadesboro; and her four grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandchild and by her brother, Daniel Hardaway.
