Died, In North Topeka, Saturday evening, May 14, 1887, of consumption, Mrs. Isabell J. Stewart, aged 56 years, 1 month, 9 days.
Deceased was born in Eugene, Ind., in 1831, Eighteen years ago she come to North Topeka, where she resided until her death in the same house, at the southeast corner of Laurent and Van Buren streets. She was a most estimable lady, loved and respected by all who knew her. Three children, all grown up, survive her—Benj. J. Walden, Mrs. Eva Ward and John W. Curtis.
The funeral was held last Monday forenoon from her late residence, Rev. P. M. Buck, pastor of the Kansas avenue M. E. church officiating, and was largely attended by relatives and friends of the deceased.
