Harry O Burns, 55, former resident of North Fifth Avenue, died Monday in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Erie. He had been living in recent years at the Solders and Sailors Home in Erie. Born September 1, 1914, in Clarion, he was the son of Harry O and Beulah Williams Burns. He was married to the former Ruth M Ervin. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Nancy Lee Shirley of Rimersburg RD and Mrs. Shirley Ann Clinger of Strattanville RD; a son, John Burns of Erie; five brothers, Robert Burns of New Mexico, Paul Burns of Bradford, Charles Burns of Washington D.C. and Edward Burns if Strattanville; four sisters; Mrs. Betty Morrison, and Mrs. Pat Miller of Erie, Mrs. Beulah Shofestall of Corsica R.D. and Mrs. Mary Hunter of Albuquerque N. M. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm today at the Globe Funeral Home in Clarion, where services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, Rev. William McCartney, pastor of the First Methodist Church in Clarion, will officiate. Internment will be in the Clarion Cemetery.
