Mr. Wheat was a laborer and was the son of the late Joseph and Zannie McGee Wheat. He leaves the following to mourn his passing: son, Mr. Alford Wheat of Montgomery, Alabama; three brothers, Fred Wheat of Purvis, Ms., R.C. Wheat of Hattisburg, Ms., and Barney Wheat of Wiggins, Ms.; three sisters, Mrs. S.C. Humphries, Mrs. Lola Green and Mrs. Clara Essory, all of Hattiesburg, Ms.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
