Mrs. Viola M. Querry, 67, of 503 Eleventh Street, Huntingdon died at 6:45 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 1975 at the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. She had been stricken ill less than an hour before and was taken immediately to the hospital. Born December 5, 1907 in Smithfield, Township, she was a daughter of Archie and Bertha (Gill)Hardy. On February 25, 1928 she was married to Arthur B. Querry at Cumberland, Md. The widower survives along with three children, Charles W. of R.D. 4, Tyrone; Mrs. Franklin (Carlus) Whittaker, Glen Burney, Md, and Mrs. Paul (Barbara) Whitesel, Star Route, Huntingdon. One son, Donald, passed away August 7, 1970. There are 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Querry left three brothers and a sister,Harold, Detroit, Mich; Leroy, Alexandria, Melvin, Perlack and Mrs. Cleo Sather, McConnellstown, One brother, Clair preceded in death. The
deceased was of the Protestant faith. She belonged to the J.C. Blair Hospital Auxiliary and Donation Grange No 330. She had been employed in the Environmental Services Department at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, retiring January 1 of this year after 17 years of service. Mrs. Querry was educated in the public schools of Smithfield Township, and most of her life was spent in the Huntingdon area. Burial will be in the Huntingdon Memorial Gardens.
