Olney, Ill. —

Melinda Gail (Kimpling) Hataway, 60, of Claremont, passed away suddenly Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at her home.

She was born January 30, 1951, in Claremont, the daughter of Madeline Kimpling and the late Harold Kimpling.

Melinda graduated from Claremont Grade School, East Richland (Olney) High School and received a B.A. in History from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston. She was employed for many years at Pacific Cycle in Olney as a dispatcher.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Among her survivors are her mother, Madeline Kimpling, of Claremont; brother, Terry (Kaye) Kimpling, of Effingham; and niece, Bonnie Kimpling Kelly, of Bryan, Ohio.

A memorial service will be held at noon Friday at Claremont Community Building.
