Lorena Ila White loved to write poems. I have a book she wrote to her children called the ABand D's Book. Lorena was always writting. She really had a creative mind.

When Lorena was about 18 months old she was running around a table with her sister Mary. Lorena fell and broke the upper part of her back. She walked around with a hunchback all her life.

She went to Tech High School and was the class of 1929. Below is a poem that she wrote:

CLASS POEM
Dear old Tech High School
And friends we love so well
The time has come for us to go
And to say to you, farewell.

As we travel along life's pathway
O'er mountains great and small,
Tech High memories shall uplift us
Should we ever waver or fall.

We ne'er forgot you, dear teachers
You've steered us through many gale.
You helped us when we were drifting.
Through deep waters, you helped us sail.

And special honor goes to one
To her, our true thanks we extend
For her love and service amoung us
Miss Ranson, our teacheer and friend.
