Almodova, Raymond Anthony 43 of Tucson died Sunday February 7, 2010. He was born in El Paso, Texas on April 7, 1966 to Raymond Almodova and Jaunita (Janie) S. Lamkin (Chapa, Almodova). Raymond (Tony) worked at Salpointe Catholic High School in the cafeteria and Amphitheater Public Schools as a Groundskeeper. Tony loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, and cooking. His greatest love was for animals. He rescued several dogs from the shelters here in Tucson. Tony left behind J.D his dog and Gracie both of whom he rescued from one of many animal centers. Tony had many friends and family members that loved him and he will be missed and in our hearts forever. He is survived by his mother Jaunita, sisters Judy Almodova and Roberta (Daniel) Rich, brothers Andy and Frank Almodova, 4 nephews, 2 great nephews and 2 great nieces all from Tucson. He also left behind his wonderful second family: Jeanne, Bruce, Richard, Connie and Eileen Manes, of Tucson. Tony left behind numerous loving Aunts and Uncles. Preceding him in death were Raymond Almodova (father) Grandparents Francisco and Natividad Almodova and Grandparents Adan and Jesusa S. Chapa. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday February 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Zion Lutheran Church 4520 W. Ajo Way Tucson, AZ 85746. Please join Tony's family and friends for a potluck in the reception hall after the memorial. If you would like to bring your favorite dish to share all is welcome. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Humane Society of Southern Arizona and Pima Animal Care Center.
