Friedman, Velma M. (nee Alt) at 95, passed suddenly on Wednesday, May 4, 2011. Beloved wife of the late L Lawrence G. Friedman Sr; Loving mother of Lawrence G. (Deborah) Friedman Jr.; dear grandmother of Erin (Tim) Wilson, Ashley Friedman and Lawrence G. Friedman III; dear great-grandmother of Anamaria and Nathaniel Wilson; dear sister of the late Edna (Fred) Heller, the late Edgar (Ethel) Alt, the late Arthur Alt, and the late Mildred (Joseph) Stovesand; dear sisterin-law, aunt, great aunt, greatgreat aunt, cousin and friend to many. Velma was born in Eureka, MO and worked in sales at Leppert Roos Fur Company until she married in 1950. Velma and her late husband owned the Ozark Dairy Company until it closed in 1973. She was an avid gardener and an active member of the sewing group at Ascension Lutheran Church until she was 92 years old. Services: Visitation at KUTIS FUNERAL HOME, 10151 Gravois, Affton, Tuesday 3-8 p.m. Funeral services at ASCENSION LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5347 Donovan, St Louis, on Wednesday May 11 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at ST. MARTIN'S CHURCH, High Ridge. Memorials to the MS Society appreciated.
