Our beloved Harriette Elizabeth Hart Aiken went home to her Lord Jesus on April 26, 2011. She was born on November 28, 1926, in Piedmont, CA, in her parents home; a third generation Californian.

She graduated from University of California, Berkley in 1950 with a BA in English.

She met her husband, William Ross Aiken, at the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory/Berkeley, and they married November 28, 1952.

They resided in Los Altos Hills, CA for many years, as well as having a summer cabin at Lake Alpine, in Alpine County, CA, and then lived in both Kehei, Maui, Hawaii, and Murphys, CA, before moving to Paradise CA. She spent her final months in Redding, CA. Her cremains will be with her husband, Ross, in Buena Vista Cemetery, in Murphys, CA.

Harriette was full of life, love and laughter. She will be missed, but she is re-joined in Heaven with her husband, Ross; her mother, Ruby Corrine Knox Hart; her father, Howard Jackson Hart, Sr. and her oldest brother, Howard Jackson Hart, Jr.

She is survived by many friends.

She is survived by her brother, William Hart; her daughters, Cindy Lange and Madaline Beeman; grandchildren, Heidi, Christopher, Heather, Harmony, Gabriel and Alicia; and great-grandchildren, Tyrion, Dawn and Caden; and niece, Linda Rowely and nephew, Eugene Hart.
