The funeral service over the remains of the late Anna Firestone took place from the Simpson Avenue M.E. church Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Rev. Church, assisted by members of the church choir, officiated. Many friends of the deceased attended and the tributes of bowers which literally covered the casket showed the esteem in which Mother Firestone was held by all who knew her. Rev. Church spoke of the many virtues of the deceased, and entreated those who desired a life immortal to follow the examples set by her who has now passed beyond the vale of trials and sorrow.
