ABELS, LULA B. KINCHEN
Funeral services for Mrs. Lula B. Abels, widow of the late Henry D. Abels, who passed away on Tuesday of last week, were held February 16 in Springfield. Interment was in Springfield cemetery. Grandsons serving as pallbearers were: G. O. Salassi, Jr. of New Orleans, Edmond Salassi of Baton Rouge, Wilson Abels, Edward Abels and J. R. Abels, all of Springfield and Raymond Abels of Baton Rouge. She was the daughter of the late A. W. Kinchen and Anne Hudson Kinchen of Springfield. She is survived by one son, A. Richard Abels of Springfield; two daughters, Mrs. Edna Salassi of Ponchatoula and Mrs. Lillian Miller of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Corbin and Mrs. S. B. Ellzey of Hammond; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
