Survivors are his wife, Agnes Langston Evans; a son, James C. Evans of Pine Bluff; three daughters, Norma Sue Vian of Ardmore, Okla., and Minnie Carrie Cline and Cathey Rogue of Warren; three brothers, J. R. "Bo" and Curtis Evans of Warren and Odell Evans of El Dorado; five sisters, Opal Pate of Los Angeles, Lena Carr of Jersey, and Dorothy Forrest, Lavern Lasiter and Christine Carpenter of Warren; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Antioch Baptist Church. Burial will be in Gravel Ridge Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home of Warren.
