Bill was a factory worker and a retired janitor from the Manteno American Legion Post 755 and the Manteno Sportsmen's Club.
He was born December 15, 1947, in Chicago, the son of Richard and Ann Ooms Boekeloo. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Surviving are one stepson, Tom Burns, of Indiana; one sister, LaVerne Ellingham, of Manteno; one brother, Allen E. Boekeloo, of Cudahy, Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; fiancee, Bobette Burns (Find A Grave Memorial# 69553333); and one brother, Don Boekeloo.
Visitation held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Manteno, where funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Lance Hurley officiated.
Burial at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
