Roy Samuel Gibson was the youngest of four children born to Samuel Finley Gibson and Sarah Prosser. He married Lydia Louise Geeslin 16 June 1917. They were the parents of Katherine Jeanne Gibson and Roy Sam Gibson. Roy married Julia E Barnes 28 Nov 1950 in Pima, Arizona.
