A son of the later John J. and Margaret Sandlin Pursley, he was a native of Gaston County.
Surviving are the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Corry Belk of Charlotte, Mrs. Ragland Wallace of Cramerton, Mrs. Blanche Jenkins of the Union road, Mrs. Ila Carter of Cramerton, Ralph Pursley, Carl Pursley, both of Gastonia, and Jim Pursley of Dallas.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of which he was a member. Rev. George W. Lingle, pastor will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Lutheran Chapel cemetery. McLean and Son Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
