Lyman Everett "Ken" Kendrick, 87, of Venice, formerly of Englewood, died March 20, 2011.
Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Lemon Bay Funeral Home. Services will be 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Gulf Pines Memorial Park in Englewood.
He assisted in the management of Baker Lumber Company in Englewood for many years. He retired as Assistant Manager of Stottlemeyer and Shoemaker Lumber Company of Venice in 1990.
He was past Exalted Ruler of the Englewood Elks Lodge # 2378. He was very active and enjoyed many different sports. He was a Army veteran of World War II.
Ken was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary Lou, his daughter, Lynda L. Spragins of Sarasota and his son Gary W. of Rotonda West.
He is survived by his son, Randy S. (Carol) Kendrick of Venice; daughter-in-law, Barbara J. Kendrick of Rotonda West; son-in-law R. Wendell Spragins of Boca Grande; Florida, 10 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
