Floyd R. Talley, born June 23, 1932 passed away April 25, 2010, at his home. Floyd was a lifelong resident of Olathe, where he lived with his wife, Retha, of 52 years. Floyd was a loving husband and father, and a proud member of the UAW. He retired from Delco-Remy after 30 years of service.

Floyd is survived by his wife, Retha; daughter, Teresa (Matt) Stromer; and sons Darrell (Lori) Talley, and Travis (Amy) Talley; and five grandchildren; along with three brothers, Lloyd Earl, Alfred Eugene, and Wayne Eldon Talley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Aldona Talley; brothers, Roy, Leon; and his sister, Mildred. Funeral services will be held April 29, at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home. Visitation at 1 p.m. with the funeral service at 2 p.m. Burial to follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to American Legion Post 153, or VFW Post 2992.
