Services were held from the Newman & Danielson Funeral Parlor at 2 p.m. The Rev. W. G. Friend of the Christian Church officiating. Burial was in Glen Cemetery.
Mr. Covert lived in Paxton many years and was in the restaurant business a part of that time. He later accepted a position as pump man at I. C. (Illinois Central railroad) station in Gilman, where he was working when taken ill.
