Marian Jane Alley died of cancer Tuesday in her North Portland home at the age of 63.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Hustad Funeral Home. Private interment will be in Skyline Memorial Gardens.
She was born April 22, 1928, in Glenwood, Iowa. Her maiden name was also Alley. She had lived in the Portland area since 1955. Mrs. Alley had worked as a cook for Emanuel Hospital & Health Center for a number of years until her retirement because of disability during the early 1980s. She was a member of Portsmouth Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence; sons, Frederick of Willow, Alaska, and Hersell and Roger of Portland; daughter, Leora Stevens of Vancouver, Wash.; sisters, Betty Smith of Boulder, Colo., and Roselee Alley of Gary, Ind.; brother, Dean Alley of Urbandale, Iowa; and 17 grandchildren.
